The opening night film is Gordian Maugg’s Fritz Lang, a speculative drama about the famed German filmmaker as he attempts to shoot his first sound film M in Berlin, and his obsession with a serial killer at the time. The festival closes with Destiny, a restored print of Lang’s 1921 masterpiece. There is a mix of dramas, documentaries and comedies in the carefully curated selection of films.
