The 29th Alliance Francaise French Film Festival screens at Palace Cinemas around the country throughout March. The program features 50 films, ranging from comedies to contemporary dramas. The opening night film is C’est La Vie, a comedy from the directors of the superb The Intouchables. The closing night film is 50 Is The New 30, a romantic comedy. This year there is a strong LGBT stream, with films like BPM and 4 Days In France. Greg spoke to Philippe Platel, the artistic director of the French Film Festival to find out more about what’s on offer this year.
