Zach Doomadgee is an indigenous teenager caught between two worlds -the bustling modernity of his home in Sydney and the proud culture of his father. This observational documentary traces Zach’s coming of age story as he prepares for a traditional aboriginal rite of initiation. Zach’s Ceremony is having a series of event screenings around the country with both Aaron and Alec appearing for some Q&A sessions.
Greg speaks to Aaron and Alec about the long journey of bringing the film to the screen, and what they hope audiences will take away from the film.
