Michael Smith is the owner of Yarraville’s Sun Theatre. He also undertook his own adventure when he circumnavigated the world in his tiny amphibious flying boat to retrace the historical airmail routes of Qantas during the glory days of 1930’s aviation. Directed by Robert Murphy, who has shot the many short film trailers for the Sun Theatre, this documentary following Michael’s journey features some spectacular footage and deserves to be seen on the big screen. Ahead of the film’s world premiere at the Sun Theatre on Wednesday April 12, Greg spoke to Michael Smith about his journey.
