The Peanut Butter Falcon is an adventure story centring around Zak, a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away from the nursing home where he lives to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. He meets Tyler, a small-time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak’s unlikely coach and ally. This is a charming story of a couple of misfits on a journey, a bit like something from a Mark Twain novel. Greg speaks with co-writer and co-director Michael Schwartz about the origins of the story, the casting of Zack Gottsagen and working with Shia LaBeouf on the film.
