The Devil’s Candy is the sophomore film from Australian director Sean Byrne, who gave us The Loved Ones. Starring Ethan Embry and Pruitt Taylor Vince, this tale of murder, madness and heavy metal music is a variation on the home invasion thriller. Byrne himself describes it as “the Amityville Horror meets Metallica.” As part of our MIFF 2016 coverage, Greg spoke to Sean about the film.
The Devil’s Candy screens at Melbourne International Film Festival – Wed Aug 10 at 9m @ Hoyts Melbourne Central and on Fri Aug 12 at 11.30pm @ ACMI. Sean will be in attendance at both screenings for Q&A sessions.
