The Candidate is an observational documentary in which filmmaker Helen Gaynor follows Greens candidate Alex Bhathal over the final weeks of her campaign to win a seat in Parliament during the last election. Greg spoke to filmmaker Helen Gaynor about the documentary which screens at Melbourne’s Nova Cinema on July 28 as part of the Melbourne International Documentary Film Festival.
