Once again festival director Nashen Moodley has put together an impressive program that features over 250 films from across the globe. There will also be retrospective screenings, talks, parties and Q&As featuring international and local filmmakers. The opening night film is the New Zealand comedy The Breaker Upperers. The packed program features Q&As with filmmakers, documentaries, short films, animation programs, retrospective screenings and the Essential Kurosawa program curated by David Stratton, and new films from Terrence Malick, Bong Joon-Ho, Sofia Coppola, Michael Haneke, Kriv Stenders, and a new documentary on Julian Assange from  Laura Poitras (Citizen Four, etc).
