Strange Creatures is a road movie in which two estranged brothers – Nathan and Jed – embark on a journey to spread their late mother’s ashes on the country property where they grew up. Along the way they come to explore their differences and find some common ground. The film is the debut feature for writer/director Henry Boffin (the tv series Metrosexual, etc). It is screening at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival in November and Henry will be in attendance to introduce the screening and conduct a Q&A. Strange Creatures hits cinemas in late November. Greg caught up with Henry to talk about the film, some of the inspirations behind the look of the film, casting Riley Nottingham, and shooting on location in small country towns.
