A must for Star Wars fans, this unique exhibition is at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney until June 2019.
Follow Luke and Anakin Skywalker, cinema’s preeminent father and son duo, from their origins on Tatooine, to the friends and mentors they meet during adolescence, through the choices they make that will define them as adults. A stunning collection of Star Wars costumes, models, props, and artwork allows you to see these two heroes and all the other unforgettable characters of Star Wars in a whole new way. And at the same time, a unique interactive identity quest allows you to design your own Star Wars Hero, putting you in the centre of the action, and asking…What forces shape YOU?
The exhibition features 200 original costumes, props, models, and pieces of artwork are yours to discover up close at STAR WARS Identities. There’s BB-8, R2-D2, Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon and even an AT-AT. Other favourites, like Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, stormtroopers, and Darth Vader, are also on display. As are many more treasures, including dozens of objects being exhibited for the first time.
Greg chats with curator Damian McDonald to find out more about this unique exhibition, how it all came about, and what it offers.
