One of the special programs that will be part of the 2018 St Kilda Film Festival is a presentation from the Guanajuato International Film Festival. The Guanajuato International Film Festival is Mexico’s largest film festival, and over the past two decades it has brought emerging talents together with world-renowned experts of the moving image. In 2017 GIFF received over 3,400 films from 120 countries. GIFF celebrates, supports and awards the next generation of filmmakers. Nina Rodriguez is the Head of Programming for the Guanajuanto International Film Festival. She spoke to Greg about the festival and what we can expect from this special presentation at the St Kilda Film Festival in May. The Guanajuato International Film Festival presentation screens on Sunday May 20 at 6.30pm, and includes a Q&A with Nina Rodriguez.
