Launched in 2004, Vimeo was founded by a group of filmmakers who wanted to share creative and personal moments from their lives. Now in it’s 13th year, the video sharing platform is stronger than ever and responsible for bringing world class cinematography into the lives and lounge rooms of people the world over. Jeffrey Bowers is a Senior Curator at Vimeo, where his responsibilities include selecting Staff Picks, contributing to the Staff Pick Premieres program, and running the Vimeo On Demand curation. For the past four years he has curated VICE media’s VICE Shorts. His background includes programming features and shorts for Tribeca Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Rooftop Films, and the Athens International Film + Video Festival.
Greg chatted to Jeffrey to learn a bit more about the Vimeo Showcase, which is screening on Sunday May 21.
