SKIN DEEP – interview with Jonny Leahy

Filmed on the streets of Newtown in Sydney, Skin Deep is a new low budget independent Australian film that follows the journey of Leah, a young girl diagnosed with terminal cancer, and Caitlin, a gay woman. It explores themes of friendship, gender, sexuality and mortality. The film was writen by Monica Zanetti, who also stars, and was directed by VCA graduate Jonny Leahy. The film is about to have a series of special screenings accompanied by Q&As with the director, star and producer. Screenings start in Sydney on Jan 24, and there will be a screening at the Westgarth in Melbourne on Saturday Feb 6.
