Sam Klemke’s Time Machine is a unique documentary. At 17, Klemke began a project to film himself each year giving a status update on the evolution of his life, that he has carried on to this very day. In 2011, this lifelong self-portrait saw fruition after his video ’35 Years Back Through Time’ became a viral sensation, entering Time Magazine’s Top 50 viral videos. The material was raw and honest and very personal. Australian documentary filmmaker Matthew Bate contacted Klemke about making a film together. Greg spoke to Matthew about Sam and his experiences about putting together this film.
