The Polish Film Festival screens at the Classic Cinemas in Elsternwick from May 31 until June 8, featuring a program of the latest films from Poland. The festival opens with a screening of Walesa. Man Of Hope, the final film in Andrzej Wajda’s trilogy about Lech Walesa, Poland’s most popular leader during a turbulent time in the country’s history. The film was Poland’s official entry from the 2014 Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film
The festival concludes with a screening of Siberian Exile, a drama from director Janusz Zaorski, who is a guest of the festival and who will hold a Q&A following the screening.
