Addressing the popular conspiracy theory that the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969 was faked, Operation Avalanche is a faux documentary about two film makers who document the staging of this seminal event. It has been shot using the found footage aesthetic. In 1967, four undercover CIA agents were sent to NASA posing as a documentary film crew. What they discovered led to one of the biggest conspiracies in American history. The film is the creation of writer/director and star Matt Johnson. Greg spoke to Matt Johnson to learn more.
