Melbourne is replete with film festivals at the moment, and another one that kicks off on November 27 at Melbourne Central is the 18th Japanese Film Festival. There are also some special retrospective screenings of some classics of Japanese cinema from the 50s and 60s at ACMI. To find out more about this year’s Japanese Film Festival, Greg spoke to the festival director Masafumi Konomi.
