The Human Rights Arts and Film Festival screens around Australia in May. Screening during the festival are a number of fictional dramas and documentaries dealing with things like refugees, gay issues, the environment. There are four short film programs as well. The opening night film is the controversial and topical documentary Chasing Asylum. In Melbourne, the festival screens at ACMI from May 5 – May 19. Greg spoke to festival director Malcolm Blaylock to find out more about this year’s exciting program.
