Happy Sad Man is a documentary that gives insight into five very different men who are all suffering from some form of depression and mental illness that affects their lives. This is the new documentary from Australian filmmaker Genevieve Bailey, who previously gave us I Am Eleven. Bailey spent some seven years working on the film, earning the trust of the five men and getting them to open up for the cameras to express their vulnerability and fears. Greg speaks to Genevieve about the film and what it means in opening up discussion about this important topic.
