After a hiatus in 2017, the German Film Festival returns to Palace cinemas in May, with a packed program. The opening night film is the award-winning drama The Silent Revolution, while closing night sees a special screening of a restored print of Wim Wenders’ 1987 film Wings Of Desire. There is also a special program of screenings aimed at children and school groups and a short film program. The festival screens here in Melbourne at the Kino and Como Cinemas from May 24-June 10. Greg spoke to the festival’s co-ordinator Bettina Kinski to learn more.
