In this taut thriller/road movie from New Zealand, a school teacher (played by Erik Thomson) is forced to confront a brutal act from his past when a pair of ruthless drifters takes him and his family on a nightmare road-trip. The film is based on a short story written by Owen Marshall. Coming Home In The Dark is the feature film directorial debut for actor turned director James Ashcroft. Greg spoke to James about adapting the story to the screen, casting the film and some of the influences on the film’s dark tone.
