Cargo has been described as a “zombie Walkabout.” It stars Martin Freeman (from The Hobbit trilogy, etc) as a man making his way through an apocalyptic wasteland to bring his young child to safety. Cargo began life as a short film in 2013 which screened at Tropfest and then found success on YouTube. Some four years later and creators Ben Howling and Yolande Ramke have translated their short film into a feature length film. The pair will attend some Q&A sessions and introduce the film. Cargo hits cinemas on May 17. Greg spoke to Ben and Yolande about some of the challenges in shooting their debut feature film, 85% of which takes place outdoors in remote locations.
