ANIMALS – interview with Sophie Hyde

Based on the novel by Emma Jane Unsworth, Animals tells the story of Laura and Tyler, two friends who have lived together for ten years but find that their relationship is shifting. This is a coming of age story that explores themes of identity, female friendship and the expectations placed on women and how they behave. Animals is an Irish-Australian co-production that stars Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat. It has been directed by Sophie Hyde. Greg spoke to Sophie about adapting the novel, casting, and filming in Dublin.
