This February ACMI Cinemas are screening three new documentaries. Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story Of Death By Audio looks at the iconic New York warehouse that became a live music/art space until it was sold to a multi-media company and was forced to close. After more than 1800 shows, the iconic venue closed its doors for the final time in 2015. Also on the program is Werner Herzog’s look at the wonders of the internet with his esoteric Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World. And finally, Cameraperson is an intimate exploration of the remarkable 25 year career of award winning documentary cinematographer Kirsten Johnson. Greg spoke to ACMI’s head of programming James Hewison to find out more about this special program of documentaries.
