The 21st Greek Film Festival screens a diverse range of contemporary Greek documentaries, dramas, comedies and short films. The festival screens at Palace Cinemas around the country from October 15 to November 2. The opening night film is the drama Little England from director Pantelis Voulgaris. The star of the film Andreas Constantinou and the producer Ioannis Iakovides will be attending the opening night screenings and participating in Q&A sessions about the film.
The closing night film is the drama Promakos, a fictional drama about the removal of the Greek marbles from Athens. The film is directed by John and Coerte Voorhees, whose father John is a US-based attorney prominently involved in the campaign to see the marbles returned to Athens.
To find out more about the program and the films screening in this year’s Festival, Greg spoke to Penny Kyrioanou on his Movies At Dusk program on 3WBC 94.1FM.
