The COV19 pandemic has forced a restructure for most of the major film festivals around the world, and the Sydney Film Festival is no exception. Launched by festival director Nashen Moodley, the 67th Sydney Film Festival will be on-line, with a virtual program available to all homes across Australia from 10-21 June 2020. All films will screen with bonus material exclusively filmed for SFF, including filmmaker introductions and the screening, followed by question and answer sessions. This year the Festival presents Australian stories from a kaleidoscope of perspectives in three strands, including 10 documentaries, a special program featuring 10 films from female directors from Europe and a short film program. Greg speaks to Festival CEO Leigh Small about some of the challenges in putting this virtual film festival program together.
