The 35th St Kilda Film Festival screens from May 17 – May 26. The festival is the longest running publicly owned short film festival. As well as screening the Top 100 Short Film Competition, there are plenty of other exciting programs, including SoundKILDA, Right There On My TV, the Guanajuato International Film Festival and a retrospective on local filmmaker David Batty. The opening night is at the Palais Theatre, with other screenings at the St Kilda Town Hall. Greg speaks to the festival’s long-time director Paul Harris, who celebrates 20 years running the festival.
