Now in its 11th year, the Bayside Film Festival runs from Wednesday 27 August until Sunday 31 August at Palace Dendy Brighton Cinemas in Church Street, Brighton. Featuring a great line-up of first-release international movies, shorts and documentaries. This year, artistic director Richard Moore, helming the festival for the second year, has chosen a lineup of the latest feture films, including Elsa And Fred, starring Christopher Plummer and Shirley MacLaine. The opening night attraction is the noir like thriller Cold Day In July, starring Michael C Hall, of Dexter fame, Sam Shepard and Don Johnson. As usual there is the Jump Cut section featuring short films from filmmakers between the ages of 8 and 26; the Youth Documentary section and the Digital Stories section, featuring local stories.
